Traci Berry, MSc, ACg

Chief Executive Officer

Traci started her NHS career in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer for GPCARE Group CIC (A practice Based Commissioning Consortium) and has since held several senior roles within a commissioning and Hospital setting, covering Quality & Safety, Urgent & Emergency Care, and more recently Governance and Corporate Affairs.

Traci also brings a wealth of private sector experience, working for 21 years at Marks & Spencer across a variety of business disciplines, giving her strong foundations to deliver her role as Chief Operating Officer at Chequers Health Group.

During her busy career, Traci has held a number of voluntary roles. For three years, she was a Trustee at Bolton Hospice, specialising in Corporate Governance and Policy and for five years, she was a Special Constable in Lancashire Constabulary.

Lauren Aherne, RGN, RM, INP, BSc, MSc

Director of Nursing & Business Development

Lauren started her career in the NHS in 2009 as a Student Nurse. During her nursing career she has worked within community and hospital settings with a special interest in Accident & Emergency. Lauren then completed additional University training to become a registered Midwife working on a delivery unit, whilst progressing to a Deputy Manager Role.

She has also developed a successful Aesthetic business and has worked with many well-known Doctors and Practitioners, now teaching in this field. Lauren brings a multitude of clinical background to the team and ensures that all regulations and policies are up to date and in line with The Care Quality Commission. Lauren is responsible for guaranteeing that all clinical services are of a high standard.

Dr. Maged Gharib, MBChi, MSc, MD, FRCP, FRC Path

Medical Director

Dr. Gharib is a senior Consultant Haematologist and has been Consultant Haematologist since 2005. He has a long experience in diagnosing and treating various benign and malignant blood disorders including leukaemia, lymphomas and myelomas in both adults and children.

He is the local Principal Investigator for the first national trial looking at treating cancer induced thrombosis with the new oral anti-coagulant, Rivaroxaban.

Dr Hamami, MB BCh, MPH, MPPH, MRCGP

Clinical Lead

Dr Ibrahim Hamami is a medical professional with a rich and extensive background in the field of medicine. Having graduated in 1989, he has accumulated nearly three decades of invaluable experience as a General Practitioner (GP). His long and successful career has been marked by a deep commitment to patient care and medical excellence.

Dr Hamami’s dedication to the medical field goes beyond clinical practice. He has actively contributed to medical education, serving as a trainer and examiner at prestigious institutions such as King’s College and Imperial College medical schools.
One of the standout aspects of Dr. Hamami’s professional journey is his role as a PLAB examiner. With first-hand experience evaluating aspiring medical practitioners, he brings a unique perspective and insight to the process. Dr. Hamami’s wealth of clinical and medical education experience is a testament to his unwavering dedication to the medical profession.

Karen Hatch

Project Lead

(Clinical Services & Business Development)

Karen is an experienced former senior NHS operational and strategic leader with a wealth of experience of over 25 years in an Acute Trust environment and across primary and community care with a proven record of high-value and effective delivery outcomes.   With 25 plus years of clinical management experience within multiple specialities and sub-specialities across the NHS including Tertiary Critical Care, Accident and Emergency, Acute Medicine, Endoscopy, Outpatients, Pain Management, Patient Access, Patient Flow, Diagnostics and Clinical Support and specialist project leadership within the Lancashire Critical Care Network.

Karen is committed to ensuring that patients receive effective high-quality health services that are person centred around an integrated community base.

Dr Samir Naseef, MBBS, PMETB (CTh)

Director

Dr Naseef is the Primary Care Clinical Lead at Chequers Health Group.  He is responsible for liaising with GPs, CCGs and the ICS in Greater Manchester and beyond.

Dr Naseef graduated with an MBBS in 1996 and completed his Postgraduate Medical Education and Training in 2006. He has practised as a GP since 2006 and is contracted by NHS England to provide primary care services at a number of locations.

Megan Walker

Senior Corporate Services Officer

(Finance, Policy & Information Governance)

Megan started her career as a Business Administrator in I.T in 2011 and has since progressed to a career in Accounting at one of the biggest car dealers in the UK.

Her range of knowledge from the major corporations she has worked for in the past will help to determine business strategy and direction as well as contributing to the objectives of Chequers Health Group.

Kolsuma Ali

Communications & Marketing Officer

As a part of our dedicated Communications and Marketing, Kolsuma provides both patient-facing, project management and back-office support.

She is responsible for brand awareness, sales, advertising and promotion and her experience has been acquired from working in the private healthcare sector for over 5 years.

Khadija Atcha

Business Support Manager & HR Lead

As the manager of our dedicated Business Support Team, Khadija provides assistance in implementation of policies, supporting the production of documents, reports and presentations.

She also leads and assists with patient-facing, project management and back-office support.

Laura Jones

Business Support Executive & Medical Secretary

As a part of our dedicated Business Support Team, Laura provides both patient-facing, project management and back-office support.

Laura’s experience as a Health Care Assistant and Supervisor of a residential home for the last decade ensures the best care for our patients and she is a very valuable asset for Chequers Health Group.

Humayoun Mirza, BSc Hons

Business Support Executive

As a part of our dedicated Business Support Team, Humayoun provides both patient-facing, project management and back-office support.

Humayoun has had many years of experience in customer service and brings a high level of expertise when it comes to dealing with patients’ needs and answering queries.

Summaya Khan

Business Support Executive

As a part of our dedicated Business Support Team, Summaya provides both patient-facing, project management and back-office support.

She has worked in childcare for many years and her kind and caring nature has been very effective with our patients.
