The Endometrial Thickness Scan is specially designed for individuals undergoing or preparing for fertility treatment. Using a transvaginal ultrasound, this scan focuses on evaluating the endometrial lining (the lining of the womb) and provides a basic assessment of the ovaries.
What the Endometrial Thickness Ultrasound Assesses
During this scan, we assess:
- Thickness and Appearance of the Endometrial Lining
- Ovarian Readiness: Ensuring the ovaries are prepared for the next stage of treatment.
- Intrauterine Device (IUCD) Position: Detects the presence and/or positioning of an IUCD or contraceptive coil if applicable.
